Hi, I am Richard the Owner of Direct-Sails. I am a passionate lifelong sailor who currently enjoys coastal cruising and racing around Hong Kong in my Dufour 38 classic and competing in offshore races on various performance yachts. I founded Direct-Sails with the vision of offering boat owners the ability to purchase their sails directly from our manufacturing source with confidence that they will receive outstanding quality sails at exceptional pricing. We achieve this by cutting out the middlemen and passing the savings onto you rather than using substandard cloths or inferior parts as some other online and Far East lofts do. Our sailing pedigree, sailmaking and design experience and commitment to using genuine American and European sailcloths and hardware is what sets us apart from our competitors.

Our design and sales team here at Direct-Sails are also all active sailors and we are always on hand and excited to give you the best advice we can on your new sails construction, design and sailcloth choice as well as swapping battle stories of course! At Direct-Sails we believe selling with integrity offering you the options which should be included in all sails in the initial price rather than aggressively upselling options. Our sailmaking team has over 100 years of sailmaking experience between them. Guided by our Western management and advanced quality control we produce sails any European or American loft would be proud of. Our experienced customer service team will ensure you are looked after from order to delivery and beyond. We are always available on email or that the end of the phone on our local rate customer service numbers to handle your inquires, questions, issues or comments.
Another point which sets us apart from other online sailmakers and Far East based sail lofts is our growing network of local loft partners. We also work to manufacture white label sails for local lofts in the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand who in return can offer warranty and repair work locally to you on our behalf.
